Football in Central Australia and Adelaide United Football Club
FICA and AUFC have further strengthened ties during a recent gala and fundraising event for the Adelaide club. FICA delivered a magnificent Lily Kelly painting donated to FICA by long term supporter Tony Bandiera. It went for $12,000 and AUFC chairman Greg Griffin donated the money back to FICA to further grassroots development and to strengthen the ongoing affiliation.
On the same night the AUFC announced former Socceroo and Northern Territory born, John Moriaty, as the club's number one ticket holder. Moriaty follows the likes of tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and South Australian Premier Mike Rann as number one ticket holders of the Reds. This is great news as FICA is doing a lot of work with John and his programs.
